Previously, trauma and stressor-related diseases were identified as anxiety disorders considered (overview of anxiety disorders). However, they are now considered different because many patients are not afraid, but instead symptoms of anhedonia or dysphoria, anger, aggression or dissociation.

Trauma and stressor-related diseases include exposure to a traumatic or stressful rich incident. Specific disorders include acute stress disorder (ASD Acute Stress Disorder (ASD)) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)). ABR and PTSD are similar except that begins ABR typically immediately after the trauma, and lasts up to 1 month 3 days, while PTSD takes> 1 month, either as a continuation of the ABR or as a separate phenomenon to 6 months after the trauma.
