The frequent ENT diseases of childhood middle ear infection (acute otitis media), tonsillopharyngitis (tonsillopharyngitis), sore throat (sore throat), Adenoidstörungen (diseases of the tonsils), nose bleeds (epistaxis), nasal congestion, and rhinitis (stuffy and runny nose), sinusitis (sinusitis ) and ear (auditory canal obstruction) and nose foreign bodies (nasal foreign bodies) are addressed elsewhere in the manual. The less common ENT diseases childhood retropharyngeal (retropharyngeal), mastoiditis (mastoiditis) and epiglottitis (epiglottitis) are discussed elsewhere.
