Hypohidrosis

Hypohidrosis is the inadequate secretion of sweat.

The Hypohidrosis by skin lesions is rarely clinically significant. It occurs mostly focally limited to and arises (eg. As injuries, radiation, infection [z. B. leprosy], inflammation) by local skin damage or atrophy of the glands in collagen (eg. As scleroderma, SLE, Sjogren Syndrome). A Hypohidrosis can also be caused by drugs, v. a. those with anticholinergic properties. In addition, it occurs in the context of diabetic neuropathy and in many congenital syndromes. The heatstroke is inadequate with sweat but one is more of a CNS as a skin condition (heat stroke). A rare setting fever of unknown origin.

The diagnosis is made by clinical observation of decreased sweating or heat intolerance. The treatment is performed by cooling measures (eg. As air conditioning, wet clothes).
