Entropion is an inversion of an eyelid. Ectropion is eversion of the lower lid. The Entropion Entropion (invagination of the lid margin to the inside) is age-related tissue slackening, postinfectious changes (besondersTrachom), post traumatic changes or caused by a blepharospasm. The eyelashes rub against the eye surface and can lead to corneal ulcers and -narben. Symptoms may include foreign body sensation, epiphora and red eye. The diagnosis is made clinically.
