Sclerosing Cholangitis
The sclerosing cholangitis is a chronic cholestatisches syndrome, characterized by unevenly distributed in the liver inflammation, fibrosis and stricture of the intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts. As the illness progresses, the small bile ducts are closed, leading to cirrhosis, liver failure and sometimes cholangiocarcinoma. (See also Overview biliary function.)
