Erysipelothrikose

Erysipelothrikose is an infection caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. The most common symptom is the Erysipeloid, an acute, but rather slowly developing local cellulite. The diagnosis is made culturally after biopsy or occasionally by PCR. Treatment is with antibiotics.
