Infectious Uveitis

A number of infections cause uveitis (see table: Infectious causes of uveitis). The most common are herpes simplex virus, varicella zoster virus and cytomegalovirus (ZMV-) infections and toxoplasmosis. Different organisms affect different parts of the uvea.
